Week 2 of the US Open.

Its week 2 of the final Grand Slam of the year, who do we see go? Who doesn't have enough tricks up their sleeves?
Week one has taken with it our female world number one, Dinara Safina, the tennis beauty, Maria Sharapova and our Grass queen, Venus Williams. So sad!
All the men's favourites are still kicking ass, except for Andy Roddick who gave in to defeat on Saturday night.
The journey still continues. But there will only be one winner at the end of the day.

End of week one at Flushing Meadows.

As the first week of US tennis Grand Slams draws closer to an end, things get even hotter on the courts.
We've had some interesting plays, and surreal tennis out-fits. We've lost Anna Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, Elena Dementieva...all top 10 players.

Serena Williams continues defending her crown with bitterness beyond comprehension.
Her sister Venus is also turning her opponents from top tennis players into miserable losers.
As I write this, the annoying Miss Azarenka has been kicked hard in the back, and out of the Slam, she's broken her racket.....ha ha. Well done, Schivone! And thanks for saving us all from Azarenka's irritating hundred zim dollar attitude.

In the men's side, the new dad, Roger Federer is having a cruise of his tennis career. And his number 1 rival, Mr Raphael Nadal is back with all the venom in the world.....it should be interesting.
Andy Murray is also doing well, currently on court as am writing, 5-2 in his favour in the first set.

I can't wait for Venus' game at midnight. But am not looking forward to seeing her dress.

Time for Ivanovic to retire.

I think the time has come for Anna Ivanovic to concentrate more on modelling, rather than tennis. Her game has gone embarassingly rusty since her fortunate French Open win and she doesn't seem to be improving. Her first round loss in New york just emphasizes the point; Anna should retire from tennis.

Its so unbelievable that the Serbian chic has been a top seed before...but, anyway, me and a million others knew she only got there by default.

The infamous world number 1, Miss Dinara Safina survived one big scare of her opening match. She was 4-1 down in the deciding set, sweating her skin off. But as they always say, experience plays a big role on the court, Dinara mystically found a way to turn things around. I am more than certain her opponent, Olivia Rogowska will have a couple of sleepless nights over a big victory that was almost in her grasp.

I haven't seen Maria Sharapova's on court yet, but I hear she is back with one stylish bang.

But all in all, I hate Venus' pink dress. I think its the ugliest one I ever saw. Uglier than the one Maria Van Trapp was wearing on her first day as a governess...
